Compensation
Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000 base
(Higher end possible for deep mining/processing plant experience)
️ About the Role
A well-established raw materials organization is seeking a Senior Structural Designer with hands-on experience in surface mining structures — specifically processing plants, conveyors, crushers, and material handling systems . This role plays a critical part in designing infrastructure that directly impacts production efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop structural layouts for mining surface facilities and processing plants
Produce detailed drawings for steel, concrete, foundations, and support structures
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to ensure constructability
Support field teams during installation, modifications, and upgrades
Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and industry standards
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of structural design experience in mining, aggregates, or heavy industrial environments
Strong background in surface structures (plants, conveyors, bins, crushers)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar design software
Practical, field-aware mindset — designs that work in real conditions
