Senior Algorithm Engineer - Sensing Algorithms
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Algorithm Engineer - Sensing Algorithms to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will help shape advanced sensing capabilities that improve measurement accuracy and support the development of next-generation medical technology. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners across clinical, engineering, and validation teams to translate complex data into reliable, high-performing algorithms. This position blends statistical modeling, signal processing, and machine learning to drive better outcomes for innovative healthcare solutions.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $111,100 – $185,100 annually
Responsibilities:
Lead the development of algorithms for next-generation sensing applications Develop models to enhance sensor behavior and measurement accuracy Design and implement algorithms including signal processing and predictive methods Apply machine learning techniques to extract insights from multiple data sources Collaborate with cross-functional teams on clinical performance assessments Evaluate algorithm performance through simulation and experimental analysis Support the transfer of algorithm designs to verification and validation teams
Qualifications:
PhD in a relevant technical field with 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2-5 years of experience Expert-level proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or similar programming languages Deep expertise in statistical estimation, signal processing, and mathematical modeling Strong understanding of machine learning and practical model development Experience with algorithm development in medical devices or related technologies Ability to analyze complex datasets with multiple signals Excellent communication skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments
