VP, Enterprise Data

Position OverviewWe are seeking a VP, Enterprise Data to define and lead the next phase of our enterprise data strategy, driving measurable business impact across our global network. This role will position data as a core driver of growth, performance, and decision-making across the organization.The VP will oversee the modernization of our data ecosystem, including architecture, governance, and analytics, ensuring data is trusted, accessible, and actionable. Partnering closely with commercial, product, marketing, and technology teams, this role will translate data into scalable products, insights, and capabilities that drive personalization, loyalty, and revenue growth.As a senior leader, the VP will build and lead high-performing teams, embed a data-driven culture, and ensure data is at the center of both commercial and operational strategy.This is a full-time position located in New York City. We offer flexible workplace policies that allow for working remotely 3 days a week and require being in our NYC office 2 days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays).Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and Lead Data StrategyDefine and evolve an enterprise-wide data strategy aligned to commercial growth, member value, and long-term business prioritiesEstablish data as a core enterprise capability across loyalty, personalization, distribution, and network intelligenceIdentify and prioritize high-impact data use cases that drive measurable business outcomesPartner with executive leadership to ensure data strategy is embedded into overall business and digital strategyModernize the Data EcosystemLead the modernization of data architecture, engineering, integration, and governance across the organizationAdvance a scalable, cloud-based data platform to support real-time and advanced analytics use casesDefine and operationalize the distinction between operational (EDP) and analytical (EDW) environmentsEnable the foundation for AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics at scaleEnsure interoperability and integration across internal systems and external partner platformsBuild World-Class Data CapabilitiesEstablish enterprise data governance, ownership, and stewardship models across key domainsImprove data quality, lineage, accessibility, and trust to support decision-making at all levelsDesign and scale a high-performing data organization, including talent, structure, and operating modelAlign data initiatives and investments with clear KPIs and measurable business impactBuild capabilities in AI, automation, and data product developmentDrive Business ImpactTranslate guest, member, and market data into actionable insights and scalable data productsEnable personalization, loyalty optimization, pricing, and broader commercial performance initiativesSupport data-driven decision-making across commercial, product, and operational teamsChampion data fluency and adoption across leadership and the broader organizationQualifications And SkillsExperience & Industry KnowledgeExperience in hospitality, travel, luxury, or asset-light network business models preferredFamiliarity with distribution ecosystems (e.g., GDS, OTAs, loyalty platforms, channel management)Experience working in marketplace or platform-based businesses leveraging data for growth and partner performanceStrong understanding of network economics and multi-entity data models (guest, member, partner)Experience operating in global, complex organizations with varying levels of data maturityTechnical ExpertiseProven ability to translate enterprise data into scalable data products and decision platformsDeep experience with modern cloud data architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/GCP ecosystems)Strong knowledge of data engineering, data governance, and scalable platform designFluency in analytics, reporting, and machine learning applicationsExperience operationalizing AI and advanced analytics within commercial or customer-facing use casesLeadership & Strategic SkillsStrategic business leader with strong technical depthDemonstrated success leading enterprise data transformation and modernizing legacy environmentsAbility to influence and partner effectively across commercial, product, marketing, and technology teamsExperience advising senior leadership, including CEO and executive stakeholdersStrong track record of building and leading high-performing teamsAbility to foster a culture of accountability, rigor, and data-driven decision makingCompensationAnnualized Base Salary Range: $260,000 - $330,000Target Annual Incentive bonus: up to 40%Salary is determined by individual candidate's skills, experience, and location.BenefitsThe Leading Hotels of the World fosters a high-performance culture and generously rewards its employees for their contributions.
