Delivery Driver 1Alternate Title(s): Client Transport Driver, Food DeliveryLocation: Baltimore, MDJob Type: Non-Exempt W-2, Hourly – Full-TimeShift & Schedule:Monday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Food & Supplies Delivery – Cargo Van)Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Food & Supplies Delivery – Cargo Van)Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Passenger Transportation – 15-Passenger Van)Pay Rate: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualificationsJob Description: The Delivery Driver 1 ensures timely and safe transportation of clients, food, and supplies using company vehicles. This role includes both logistics support and basic vehicle care duties. The driver represents the company in the field and supports daily operational success by maintaining a clean, safe, and reliable vehicle environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTransportation & Delivery:Operate a 15-passenger van to transport clients on assigned routes.Operate large cargo vans to deliver food and supplies to designated locations.Ensure safe and timely transportation of passengers, food, and supplies.Properly secure cargo and ensure passenger safety during transit.Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:Clean out the assigned van at the end of each shift, including removal of trash and basic wipe-down of interior surfaces.Perform routine vehicle inspections and document findings daily.Assist in tracking mileage, service needs, and mechanical issues as part of fleet maintenance efforts.Adhere to company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures at all times.Communication & Documentation:Communicate proactively with dispatch and the Operations Manager regarding delays, route changes, or vehicle issues.Accurately maintain delivery and transportation logs.Uphold professional appearance and courteous behavior while representing the company publicly.Loading & Operational Support:Load and unload deliveries, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.Support operational success through responsible driving and reliable service delivery.Licenses / QualificationsValid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving recordMinimum age requirement: 21 years oldPrior experience operating cargo vans and/or 15-passenger vans preferredStrong reliability, communication, and time management skillsPhysically able to lift and carry up to 50 poundsWillingness to submit to a background check and MVR screeningAbility to work weekends consistentlyExperiencePrevious experience in transportation, delivery driving, logistics, or passenger transport preferred.Competencies and SkillsSafe and defensive driving practicesStrong communication and customer service skillsExcellent time management and route coordination abilitiesAbility to multitask and adapt to changing schedulesAttention to detail for accurate delivery and transportation logsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProfessional demeanor and reliabilityEducation / TrainingHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPhysical DemandsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to sit and drive for extended periodsAbility to load and unload cargo safelyWorking ConditionsFrequent local travel using company vehiclesExposure to varying weather and road conditionsFast-paced transportation and logistics environmentWhat We OfferBenefitsEligible employees may receive:Standard W-2 employee benefits packagePaid Time Off (PTO)Family and Medical LeaveSupplemental health and disability insuranceRetirement savings planProfessional development and continuing education opportunities
