Production Supervisor
Leads and manages an effective team; includes planning and holding meetings, preparing and conducting performance appraisals, overseeing staffing levels (vacations, overtime, leaves of absence), supporting career growth (motivates, coaches, and trains for quality, productivity, morale, and cooperation), approving time and attendance, and assigning work prioritiesDelivers effective feedback to employees, both positive and constructive; maintains proper documentation for all disciplinary actionsProvides training and mentoring to newly appointed SupervisorsOversees training and orientation of employees to ensure EHS rules are understood, work performance is improved, and company policies and procedures are communicatedUpholds compliance with the collective bargaining agreement; serves as liaison between management and union officials and addresses grievancesEnsures adherence to all company policies, procedures, and practicesPlans and coordinates production schedules and work teamsAnalyzes production and operating reports; addresses operations, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to control costs and avoid operational delaysChampions EHS standards and fosters a culture of continuous improvementImplements ABS principles and initiatives; serves as the 6S program leaderMinimum of 3 years of leadership experience supervising maintenance or skilled trades teamsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsFamiliarity with TPM, Synchronous Manufacturing, and Kaizen ConceptsAbility to communicate effectively across all organizational levels; strong team-building, interpersonal, and multitasking skills; technically orientedCompany is a global leader in engineered metal products!Manufactures components for the aerospace/military industry!
