Experienced Hospitalists Needed for Locum Night Coverage | Alaska We are seeking experienced Nocturnist Hospitalists to join a dedicated and collaborative hospital team near Sutton, Alaska. This is an urgent locum tenens assignment, ideal for board-certified physicians in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (FM) with an active Alaska medical license. Position Details: Location: Anchorage, Alaska Start Date: September 15, 2025 Duration: 3 months (possible extension) Schedule: 6:00 PM ??? 6:00 AM Preferred Availability: 7 consecutive nights, potentially 2 weeks per month Model: Closed ICU, with intensivist support Patient Load: 18???22 per shift EMR System: EPIC Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive inpatient care during night shifts Coordinate care with intensivists and multidisciplinary teams Ensure accurate documentation and patient management using EPIC Maintain high standards of communication and clinical collaboration Qualifications: Active Alaska Medical License (preferred) Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Willingness to work nights and weekends as scheduled Strong clinical judgment and interpersonal skills Additional Information: No in-house call rotations required Temporary emergency privileges available for qualified candidates Ongoing coverage needs into 2026 Potential for 7 on / 7 off scheduling This is a unique chance to practice hospital medicine in a captivating Alaskan setting, offering both professional fulfillment and flexible scheduling.
