Truck Driver

We are dedicated to the safety of our team and committed to the highest standards of safety and construction performance.Position Summary: The truck driver will be responsible for driving a truck with a capacity of up to 80,000 lbs as well as oversize/overweight loads, transporting materials to and from specified destinations.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: driving truck to specified destinations; preparing receipts for load pick ups; maintaining truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations; maintaining telephone or radio contact with supervisor; loading truck by hand or mechanical loader; pulling levers or turning crank to tilt body and dump components; moving hand and foot controls to jerk truck in order to loosen and dump material; position blocks and rope to secure cargo during transit; inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water; performance of emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing lights, tire chains and spark plugs.Essential Job FunctionsMinimum of 2 years heavy equipment transportation experience.Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and fellow employees by interpreting instructions given in verbal, written, diagram, or schedule form.Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.Valid Class A Commercial Drivers license.Knowledge and adherence of Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines, standards, and requirementsAbility to stand, walk, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; speak and hear; regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
