Company Description We suggest you enter details here. Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for AVP Underwriting. The role is located in Atlanta, GA but some work from home is acceptable. The AVP Underwriting will be responsible for managing and assessing risk on insurance applications, implementing underwriting policies, conducting case reviews, and making final decisions on coverage. They will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, provide training and guidance to junior underwriters, and collaborate with other departments to optimize underwriting processes. Qualifications FALU (Fellow of the Academy of Life Underwriting), FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) certificationsACS (Associate, Customer Service), AIAA (Associate in Insurance Agency Administration) certificationsHIA (Health Insurance Associate) certificationStrong analytical and decision-making skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of underwriting principles and practicesExperience with regulatory compliance in the insurance industryBachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field is preferred
