Procurement Manager
Put your strong negotiation skills, analytical abilities, and flair for cooperative supplier relationships to good use as a Senior Purchaser. As part of the Central Purchasing department, you will be based at our Carbel site in Miami.
We are looking for support across various commodities in our Central Purchasing department, including procurement of transport services, technical purchasing (automation technology), and project purchasing.
YOUR TASKS
Preparation, management, and implementation of strategic procurement projects in Central Purchasing
Placing tenders on the market and conducting negotiations through to contract signing
Independently supporting a wide variety of projects
Advising our business units from a commercial perspective, including on all matters related to the procurement process
Creating transparency through data analysis, procurement market analysis, and benchmarks
Actively shaping the optimization of purchasing processes with a view to the strategic orientation of Central Purchasing
Leading and supporting a team of two purchasing professionals, including performance management and day-to-day oversight
YOUR PROFILE
Successfully completed (commercial) vocational training or a completed degree in economics, business administration, or logistics
Several years of professional experience in indirect or strategic purchasing
Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and remain open to new challenges
Enjoyment of negotiations and supplier engagement
Affinity for numbers, with confident handling of KPIs and data analysis
Confident use of Microsoft products, especially Excel and Word; ERP/SAP knowledge desirable
Business fluent English; Spanish language skills are a plus
Team player with the ability to actively approach people and take initiative within larger organizations
