Job Title: Technical Program Manager (Databricks)Location: 100% RemoteDuration: 6 Months ContractJob Description:• Experience: 5+ years of Technical Program Management or technical delivery experience, plus 2+ years of prior background as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or Cloud Solutions Architect.• Databricks Ecosystem: Strong, hands-on working knowledge of Apache Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, Databricks Workflows, and Unity Catalog.• Code & Query Proficiency: High proficiency in SQL and Python for validation, debugging, and pipeline review.• Cloud Infrastructure: Solid understanding of cloud data architectures on AWS, Azure, or GCP (storage tiers, networking, IAM, compute instances).• Execution Rigor: Track record of decomposing massive data modernization or platform migration projects into measurable agile sprints.Preferred Qualifications:• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Databricks Certified Solutions Architect.• Direct experience operationalizing MLflow, Feature Store, or Model Serving on Databricks.• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs).• Hands-on experience migrating legacy warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Teradata) or legacy Spark clusters to Databricks Lakehouse.Key Competencies:• Technical Depth: Capable of challenging technical decisions, understanding data modeling paradigms, and reading pipeline logs.• Strategic Systems Thinking: Balances speed of delivery with maintainability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.• Influence Without Authority: Drives consensus across autonomous engineering squads, enterprise security teams, and executive stakeholders.
