We’re seeking a dynamic Head of Human Resources professional to lead our people strategy and elevate our HR function as we scale. This role is ideal for a senior HR leader who is ready to step into a broader executive role—combining hands-on execution with strategic influence. This individual will oversee internal people operations while also supporting and growing our external HR consulting services, helping shape both employee experience and client impact. This is a high-impact opportunity to build, modernize, and scale people practices in a growing organization of over 70 employees. Key Responsibilities People Strategy & HR Operations Build and execute scalable people strategies aligned to business growth and culture Strengthen HR infrastructure, policies, compliance, and systems Lead HRIS optimization, process improvement, and automation Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and performance Talent, Engagement & Development Lead recruiting strategy, employer branding, and hiring practices Strengthen performance management, employee engagement, and career development Build learning, leadership, and succession initiatives Use data and feedback to drive better hiring, retention, and engagement outcomes HR Consulting Leadership (External Clients) Guide and grow the organization’s HR consulting practice Lead client strategy and deliver highimpact HR solutions Develop scalable tools, frameworks, and consulting offerings Support business growth through thought leadership and client engagement Ideal Candidate Profile 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience Strong foundation in talent, employee relations, HR operations, and systems Experience scaling HR in a small, growing, or fastmoving organization Comfortable being handson while thinking strategically Experience with HRIS, ATS, and modern HR technology Prior consulting or clientfacing experience is a plus About Sentinel The Carolinas’ premier, independently owned Risk Management, Employee Benefits, and Safety Consulting firm.
