Equipment Operator – Grading CrewJob DescriptionDepartment: Myrl & Roy’sReports to: Grading Superintendent and Grading FormanJob Summary:This position will operate various asphalt and grading equipment in a safe and environmentally proficient manner (blade, front end loader, skid steer, water truck, and roller).Supervisory Responsibilities:Does not have any direct reports.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Perform the physical duties of the work in all types of weather conditions• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as a blade, front end loader, skid steer, water truck, and roller• Perform minor servicing and maintenance on mobile equipment as neededRequired Skills/Abilities:• High attention to detail• Good work attendance• Display good communication skills including the ability to understand and follow verbal and written direction and instructions• Learn a variety of work skills associated with maintenance and repair operations• Safely and efficiently use a variety of hand and power tools• Read, understand and follow safety rules and regulations and procedures• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as requiredEducation and Experience:• High School diploma or GED• Valid Driver's license requiredPhysical Requirements:• Physically fit to perform the job functions including the ability to stand, squat, bend, lift and walk for long durations• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at timesL.
