DescriptionJob SummaryThe Shared Services Specialist administers all aspects of each client membership program in addition to performing various functions for the Shared Services Department.Major Responsibilities/ActivitiesFacilitate all aspects of each client membership programServe as a subject matter expert for company training and questions regarding client membership programsQuality auditing of both internal and third-party vendor teamsPerform root cause analysis of payment exceptions and missing payments Establish methods of payment extraction through automationExtensive payment reconciliationsCreation of payment and month end reportsAnalysis of current Shared Services Processes to identify defects and develop process improvementsCreate new and update existing SOPs and Job Aids as needed Consistently support and demonstrate the company mission and valuesOther Responsibilities/ActivitiesPerform Bad Debt Recovery role specific tasks as neededPerform Shared Services role specific tasks as neededOther tasks and projects assigned by leadershipRequirementsRequired Education, Skills, & ExperienceHigh School DiplomaIntermediate to expert excel skills including file manipulation and creationStrong, effective, and professional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-departmental and diverse teams to achieve results.Highly organized with ability to be proactive, manage time, and prioritize work with little supervisionWilling and able to adapt to changes in work environment, procedures, priorities, schedule, and job dutiesPreferred Education, Skills, & ExperienceThorough knowledge of major health insurers, including federal and state agencies Previous medical billing and/or account reconciliationUnderstanding of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and patient reimbursement/billing, and HIPAAWorking Environment/Physical RequirementsGeneral office environmentFrequent telephone useFrequent typingSitting for long periods of time, some standingUse of basic office equipment such as computer, fax, printer, copierPay range: $17.00 - $20.00 an hour, with final compensation based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs.
