Assistant Project ManagerLocation: Brighton, MISalary: $65,000 to $80,000, DOEWe are working with a well-established design-build general contractor based in Brighton, Michigan to find an Assistant Project Manager to support their commercial construction team. This position supports all aspects of the building process, helping ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and reports to the Director of Operations.What You'll DoRepresent the company professionally across every projectLead and collaborate with project team members, including engineers, architects, third-party consultants, and subcontractorsMaintain positive relationships and communication with project team members and clientsManage and forecast project costs and report progress to the Director of OperationsPrepare and present cost estimates and change orders to support owner decision making during constructionReview and maintain project documents to ensure compliance with design and budget intentDevelop a comprehensive project plan and track progress through completionIdentify and respond to potential issues throughout the life of the projectLead regular customer meetings, including agenda preparation and meeting minutesConduct subcontractor bid analysis and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliersPrepare subcontractor purchase orders and change ordersReview and approve subcontractor invoicingDevelop, maintain, and evaluate the project schedule in collaboration with the SuperintendentSubmit and obtain permits from appropriate municipal authoritiesDevelop and maintain project checklists across design, permitting, and closeoutEnsure adherence to health and safety standards and report issuesDocument key project events and maintain historical project dataMaintain and provide feedback on internal project cost tracking systemsAttend company and industry events, including meetings, trainings, and workshopsContribute to building and maintaining company cultureWhat You'll Bring2 or more years of experience in an Assistant Project Manager or similar construction support roleStrong understanding of construction cost management, scheduling, and contract administrationHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple project priorities at onceStrong written and verbal communication with solid interpersonal skillsA problem-solving mindset with sound judgment in decision makingStrong customer service orientation and professionalism in client-facing settingsValid driver's licenseWhat You'll GainA competitive salary of $65,000 to $80,000, based on experienceVehicle allowance and company-issued cell phone and laptop or tabletCompany-sponsored health insurance and company-matched 401(k)Flexible vacation, sick, and time-off policy along with performance-based bonus opportunitiesA team built around a 100-0 mindset and a culture that promotes from withinThe opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role with a firm expanding its reach across 35 statesAt Framework, we keep it simple: we connect great people with great builders.
