Behavioral Specialist - Full Time w/benefits

St. Michael's Harbour has an immediate opening for a Masters level Behavior Specialist. St. Michael's Harbour, located in Hermitage Pennsylvania, works with adults who cope with developmental, and intellectual disabilities in their home/communities. Our goal is to help our participants discover and use their strengths and talents, to promote self-determination, and to explore and experience meaningful opportunities in their every day lives. Behavior Specialist: Master Degree Required Develops and provides specialized interventions that assist a participant in increasing adaptive behaviors by modifying or replacing challenging behaviors. Develops and promotes consistent implementation of the Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) and Crisis Intervention Plan (CIP) across environments and across people with regular contact with the participant, such as family, friends, employers, neighbors and other providers. Completes progress reports, trains and supports team members (participant, staff, stake holders, and third party agencies on interventions identified in the BSP, and CIP plans), attends agency and participant related meetings, creates data collection tools, analyzes data, provides direct as well as consultative services. Qualifications and Skills Masters in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field. Experience in dual diagnosis (mental health, developmental, intellectual disorders) is desired. Pennsylvania Behavior Specialist License (BSL) is desired. However, the agency will assist the right candidate to obtain required State of Pennsylvania ODP certification trainings. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge and experience with Excel and Microsoft Word is a plus. Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance. Act 33-34, FBI clearances and college transcripts.
