If you are looking for a rewarding opportunity to oversee a team that will rely on your leadership and guidance, we encourage you to apply for the Shipping Supervisor position at our Canton location.The essential function of shipping supervisor is to oversee all shipping activities such as receiving and coordinating deliveries of goods, overseeing packaging and labeling needs, collaborating with internal departments to optimize flow of shipments, hiring, training, and supervising shipping employees while managing efficiency in the department.Functions And ResponsibilitiesMaintaining and ensuring the safety of all employees through training, enforcement of rules and compliance with all Fresh Mark Inc. policies and proceduresMaintaining a sound working relationship with bargaining unit employeesDriving departmental efficiencies and maximizing productivityMonitoring and controlling inventoryAssuring effective communications Controlling labor costs through effective manpower utilization Monitoring machinery to maintain productivity and efficiencies Monitoring product quality and flow to meet customer demands and requirements Promoting and maintaining teamwork among employeesConduct safety and department meetings for your staffRequirements5+ years of warehouse experience or a Bachelor’s degree Ambition to personally develop and quickly learn new processes Ability to work with and provide leadership to hourly personnel Ability to work any shift and both weekend and daily overtime as requiredAbility to work in a refrigerated environmentWork Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
