In this role, you will design and develop complex FPGA and ASIC systems used in secure, high-performance applications that directly support national security and mission-critical operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, verify, and document ASIC and FPGA developmentsDefine system architecture, simulation strategies, and detailed design approachesDevelop module interfaces and manage device-level design, simulation, and verificationOversee synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, and power analysisCreate and execute functional test and simulation plansAnalyze results and troubleshoot design or performance issuesEvaluate vendor capabilities, foundry technologies, and device librariesContribute to ASIC/FPGA process improvements and engineering best practicesResearch and analyze design proposals to determine feasibility and technical requirementsSelect components and hardware based on performance and reliability criteriaProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineersCollaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to execute major programsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related STEM field) plus 5+ years of experienceOR Master's degree plus 3+ years of experienceStrong knowledge of ASIC/FPGA architecture, design principles, and verification methodologiesProficiency with FPGA design and simulation toolsExperience with synthesis, timing analysis, and hardware validationAbility to work independently and manage multiple technical prioritiesExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skillsU.S. Citizenship requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearanceWhy Join CPICompetitive $80/hr contract rateSupport of mission-critical defense programs impacting national securityVeteran-founded company that understands defense culture and mission focusDedicated CPI recruiter and career advocacy throughout your assignmentAccess to future cleared FPGA, ASIC, and advanced hardware engineering opportunities across CPI's defense portfolioUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT:This assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be US Citizens.NO SUBCONTRACT REQUIREMENT:No third-party applicants will be considered.
