OverviewChief Financial Officer – MEP Engineering and Design Services – Private Equity Our client is a well-established and highly profitable lower middle market mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering and design services business supporting the commercial and residential construction services sector. The company is backed by a leading private equity sponsor who plans to drive significant acquisitive and organic growth initiatives, expanding the operational footprint of the business across the Southeast. The Chief Financial Officer will strategically partner with the CEO and investors to drive ambitious acquisitive growth with an intimate understanding of operations and the ability to build out process. The CFO will lead a lean, high-performance finance and accounting function with a hands-on approach focusing on upgrading KPIs and reporting capabilities to support data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading a growth-focused engineering and construction services platform with a strategic, analytic and operational mindset. This position requires a strategic player/coach management style and a strong understanding of percentage of completion accounting. Preference will be given to individuals with experience driving M&A growth strategies and leading ERP implementations. ResponsibilitiesPartner with the CEO and investors to drive acquisitive growth, both through M&A activity and organic expansion. Lead a lean, high-performance finance and accounting function with a hands-on approach. Upgrade KPIs and reporting capabilities to support data-driven decision making. Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital structure to support growth initiatives. Oversee percentage of completion accounting and project-level financial performance. Drive ERP implementations and improve finance systems and processes. QualificationsExperience leading a growth-focused engineering and construction services platform.
