Lead Electrician

Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Electrician to join our growing team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and renovation projects while leading small field crews and ensuring high-quality workmanship.The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in supervising crews, coordinating field operations, and delivering projects efficiently and professionally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a fast-paced and expanding electrical division.ResponsibilitiesInstall, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation environmentsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsLead and manage a crew of 2–4 electricians and/or electrical traineesProvide daily progress reports to the Electrical SuperintendentAssist with onsite training and development of ET's.· Collaborate with the Electrical Superintendent to meet project deadlines and objectives· Maintain accurate records for services performed including timekeeping and materials management· Maintain and store tools and equipment appropriatelyPerform:o Daily job calendar reviewCreate weekly material lists for each projectPrimary and Secondary Conduit Layout & InstallationDeep Underground and Under Slab conduit layout and installationMain Switchboard SetsUtility Transformer Pad Installation and GroundingStep-up or Step-Down Transformer Installation and TerminationSub-Panel and Distribution Panel Installation and TerminationLighting system installationsControls wiring installation and terminationElectrical rough-in, trim-out, and finish workPipe bending and wire pullingStrut rack system design and installationEnsure all work complies with NEC standards, local codes, and company safety proceduresMaintain accurate documentation for inspections, completed work, and compliance recordsCommunicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and project stakeholdersQualificationsValid Journeyman Electrician Certification4+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experiencePrevious crew leadership or foreman experience preferredStrong knowledge of NEC, Title 24, and energy compliance standardsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and lead a team effectivelyStrong communication and organizational abilitiesExperience with controls systems is a plusMust have basic electrical hand tools, including:Wire strippersLinesman pliersScrewdriversImpact driverDrillWillingness to travel and stay overnight for out-of-town projects when neededRequirementsAbility to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periodsMust pass a pre-employment drug test and background checkStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyPositive attitude with a willingness to continue learning and growing in the tradeBenefits & PerksCompetitive pay: $45–$55/hour DOECompany vehicle with fuel cardCompany cell phone and credit cardSingle-room hotel accommodations and per diem for travel projectsHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off (PTO)Referral bonus programCompany-provided PPE$300 annual boot stipendEmployee Assistance ProgramBonusly employee recognition programAdvancement opportunities within a growing electrical divisionWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThis position is performed in a fabrication shop environment and may require standing, bending, lifting, and operating machinery for extended periods.
