Registered Dental Hygienist

Looking for a hygienist to work part-time in Bayside, Queens. We are a private practice focused on comprehensive and implant dentistry. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00pm-8:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am to 1:30pm. Recall patients are scheduled for 30 minutes and new patients for 1 hour. Hygienist will have the help of an assistant who will breakdown the room and take x-rays. Compensation starting at $55 per hour, can vary depending on experience. Hygienist responsibilities include: Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling/root planing. Conduct comprehensive periodontal charting and assessments. Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and treatment recommendations. Review medical histories and update patient records accurately. Administer local anesthesia. Collaborate with the doctor on treatment planning. Maintain a positive, professional, and patient-centered environment.Qualifications: Active state dental hygiene license. CPR certification. Experience with digital dentistry and practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) is a plus. Strong communication and patient-education skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Gentle, compassionate chairside manner.
