You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.The Senior Financial Analyst provides advanced financial analysis and oversight in support of Army programs, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data across multiple systems. This role serves as a subject matter expert in financial execution, reconciliation, and reporting, leveraging GFEBS and related systems to support program-level decision-making. The Senior Financial Analyst independently analyzes complex financial datasets, resolves discrepancies, and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure audit readiness and effective financial operations.Compensation & BenefitsEstimated Starting Salary Range for Sr Financial Analyst: $130,000 - $145,000Pay commensurate with experience.Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.Sr Financial Analyst Responsibilities IncludeLead the analysis, consolidation, and reporting of large and complex financial datasetsProvide advanced financial support utilizing GFEBS and other Army financial systemsReview, analyze, and interpret financial documents and reports against established metrics and controlsValidate commitments, obligations, and disbursements for accuracy and compliance using GFEBS ERP and BI toolsResearch and resolve complex Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) and Unmatched Transactions (UMTs), including coordination with DFAS for Line of Accounting (LOA) correctionsCoordinate with DFAS, DCMA, Contracting Officers, and Budget Analysts to resolve cross-system discrepancies and ensure data integrityUtilize systems such as SOMARDS, MOCAS, EDA, WAWF, and SDW to research and reconcile financial and contracting actionsProvide financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations to support program management and leadership decision-makingSupport audit readiness initiatives through data validation, documentation, and process improvementsMentor junior analysts and provide guidance on financial systems, processes, and reconciliation activitiesSupport special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance to start (TS) Performs other job-related duties as assignedSr Financial Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities RequestedBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field10+ years of experience in federal financial management or financial analysisAdvanced experience analyzing and managing large financial datasetsStrong hands-on experience with GFEBS (ERP and BI) for financial execution, analysis, and reportingExperience validating commitments, obligations, and disbursements for accuracy and complianceExperience researching and resolving ULOs and UMTsExperience coordinating with DFAS, DCMA, contracting officers, and budget analystsFamiliarity with Army financial and contracting systems (SOMARDS, MOCAS, EDA, WAWF, SDW)Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to leadershipStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance to start (TS) Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee FederalCompany InformationCherokee Nation Defense Solutions (CNDS) is a part of Cherokee Federal – the division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses.
