Material Handler

The Material Handler will be responsible for the efficient movement, organization, and preparation of materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility. They will ensure that production areas are adequately stocked, and that inventory is accurately tracked to support seamless manufacturing.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSafely operation material handling equipment such as sit-down fork trucks; order pickers, and pallet jacks to move items between receiving, storage, and the production areasLocate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production ordersDeliver materials to workstations as requested and remove finished goods or scrap from areas in a timely mannerMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are stored in designated locationsMaintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortagesMaintain daily maintenance checks of fork trucks including compliance with end of shift requirements i.e. 5S checklists, charging of equipment, etc.Strictly adhere to all facility safety protocols, including wearing PPE and following safe lifting and equipment operation guidelinesCollaborate with team members to identify process improvements and increase efficiencyAssist with other Shipping/Receiving/Packaging activities as neededEDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role within a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and comprehend work instructions, manuals, and other written correspondenceProficiency with basic computer systems and inventory management softwareStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressureStrong communication skills, delivering thoughts and ideas clearly both written and verballyExperience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g. forklifts)
