Field Services Engineer

Job Type: One-day DispatchLocation: Zeeland, MI 49464 USDate: 17th April 2026Project Overview:We are seeking a qualified Field Technician to perform pre-configuration of 36 Access Points (APs) and support handling/transport of CAT6 cables for an upcoming deployment.Scope of Services:1. Access Point Pre-Configuration (36 Units):Unbox and inspect all APs for any physical damage.Record serial numbers and MAC addresses (if required).Configure APs as per provided guidelines (SSID, VLAN, IP settings, firmware updates, etc.).Apply labeling to each AP based on site naming conventions.Verify configuration and ensure each device is functioning properly.Repack devices securely after configuration.2. Cabling Requirement:Technician must bring 16 CAT6 cables to the site.Ensure cables are tested and in working condition.Assist with basic connectivity testing if required.Deliverables:All 36 APs configured and validated as per requirements.Configuration report including device details (serial number, MAC address, IP if applicable).Confirmation of cable availability and usability.Requirements:Prior experience with wireless access point configuration (any major OEM preferred).Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, SSIDs).Ability to follow remote instructions if needed.Must have laptop and required console/patch cables.Must bring 16 CAT6 cables. Will be reimbursedAdditional Notes:Remote support will be provided for configuration templates if required.Work is expected to be completed within the agreed timeline.
