This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging industry expertise and consultative sales skills to identify opportunities, solve operational challenges, and build long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in foodservice, beverage, restaurant supply, or distribution sales who thrives in a field-based environment and enjoys developing business through both new customer acquisition and account growth.This role is open to applicants located in the Mid-Western US region.Territory Sales Manager Responsibilities:Develop and execute territory sales strategies to generate new business opportunities and expand market share within assigned accounts.Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and vendor partners to drive long-term growth and customer retention.Conduct regular in-person sales calls, territory travel, and business reviews to identify customer needs and recommend value-added solutions.Utilize a consultative sales approach to address operational challenges, uncover growth opportunities, and strengthen customer partnerships.Manage sales activities, pipeline development, account planning, and customer interactions within Salesforce CRM.Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and leadership teams to align territory objectives, share market insights, and support business initiatives.Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and develop action plans to achieve or exceed revenue goals.Represent a diverse portfolio of products and supplier partners while maintaining a customer-focused, solutions-oriented approach.Support promotional campaigns, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations to maximize customer value and profitability.Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitive activity, and market conditions to identify emerging opportunities.Territory Sales Manager Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience.3+ years of outside B2B sales experience within foodservice distribution, restaurant supply, beverage, coffee/tea, or related industries.Proven track record of developing new business while successfully managing and growing existing customer accounts.Hands-on experience using Salesforce CRM to manage pipelines, customer relationships, forecasting, and sales reporting.Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Knowledge of foodservice operations, distribution channels, and industry trends preferred.Experience working with beverage, coffee, tea, food product, or restaurant supply vendors strongly preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.Strong organizational, territory management, and time-management abilities with the ability to work independently.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% throughout the assigned territory.
