In addition to your base pay, we offer a performance-based weekly bonus that can add up to $400 per week - the equivalent of $10 more per hour based on a standard 40-hour week!Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Pharmacy Technician (Laboratory)SALARY RANGE:X Hourly □ AnnualDEPARTMENT: Pharmacy/ClinicalFLSA: Non-exemptUNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: NoneREPORTS TO: Pharmacist In ChargeDATE:PURPOSE OF JOBResponsible for assisting to complete all aspects of medication processing and compounding, as well as patient care under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and in accordance with SOPs and regulatory compliance.JOB DUTIESAct as customer service representative for all customers and/or patientsProcess, prepare, compound, and package and label sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals per prescriber order in accordance with regulation and licensing standardsEnsure proper bulk compound preparations in accordance with monthly usagePerform calculations for the preparation of medication and pharmaceutical productsAssist with management of inventory levels, stock medication and chemicals, return excess stock to inventory and manage expired medication or chemical productAct as customer service representative and liaison to physicians, clinics and hospitals and Stonegate Pharmacy Maintain and document a clean workspace, conduct scheduled and routine cleanings of all lab facilities as assigned and detailed in SOPs and Simplifi 797 Assist in the training and orientation of new pharmacy staffRespond to telephone inquiries, referring them to appropriate professional staff where neededPerform pharmacy computer system operations, including order entry, billing, crediting and updatingProperly document and dispose of all expired hazardous raw chemicals regularly and in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelinesDocument daily, weekly and monthly duties completed on checklistsMay prepare and deliver investigational drugs per research protocolsMay assist in the ordering and maintenance of appropriate chemicals and other suppliesMay assist with annual inventories as scheduledDemonstrate high ethical and professional standards at all timesOther job duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSPharmacy Technician Certification; sterile certification preferredHigh School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferredGreat people and phone skillsDiligent, personal & time management skillsAbility to enhance existing relationships and create new onesExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Represent yourself and company in a highly professional and ethical mannerDemonstrated experience with self-directed learningAbility to learn and articulate complex scientific materialKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to learn and articulate complex scientific materialPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basisAbility to sit and stand up for prolonged periods of timeRequires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, calculator and other office equipmentRequires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate documents and papersOccasional bending, stooping and stretchingSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None
