Nestled amongst three mountain peaks in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Peaks of Otter Lodge offers a tranquil spot on Abbott Lake for guests to enjoy breathtaking views. Located in Bedford, Virginia the Lodge provides a variety of ways to experience the scenic beauty and heritage of the southern Appalachian region. Guests can enjoy delicious food and drinks during their stay at the Lodge. We also offer retail services throughout the area. This is a seasonal position (April - October) Responsibilities Safely transport visitors throughout the park using designed routes in company vehicles. Provides highest level of customer service and give assistance if necessary Be knowledgeable and helpful to passengers and guests as to schedules and services Strictly follow Company’s lost and found program Ensure vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe working condition, noting any issues to Manager; performs pre & post shift vehicle inspections using Company inspection Forms and Vehicle Logs Position Requirements Superior customer services skills, strong communication skills and a team player Work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts Safety oriented paying attention to all traffic rules and Company Driver Agreement Policy Pass a driving record MVR background check Pass a pre-employment drug screen Knowledge and Experience Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Six (6) months in a hotel/resort setting preferred Resort/ National Park Concession experience preferred Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status and all other status protected by law.
