Computer Burn-In Tester
Job Summary: Ace Computers is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Hardware Test Technician to join our Production and Validation team. This role is responsible for conducting stress tests on computer systems, including laptops, desktops, workstations, and servers to ensure their reliability and stability. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of PC & Server Hardware and Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) to ensure seamless system integration during the testing process. Key Responsibilities: Perform End-of-Line stress tests on computer systems and components to identify potential failures and ensure reliability. Ensure overall BOM and characteristics of the System under Test match with the ERP system. Perform BIOS/UEFI configuration and updates (including RAID, boot modes, XMP/EXPO) Hands-on hardware assembly: CPUs, GPUs, RAM, NVMe/SATA storage, cooling solutions Identify and diagnose problems using diagnostic tools. Analyze test data, including component isolation and swap testing, to determine possible root cause/s of errors and work with the Engineering team to solve them and implement corrective actions. Read POST codes and debug LEDs. Diagnose no-boot, no-POST, and instability issues. Firmware flashing (Motherboards, RAID controllers, Network Cards, HDDs/SSDs) Ensure that all testing equipment functions correctly and is properly calibrated. Keep detailed records of test procedures, results, and any corrective actions taken. Work with design and production engineers to improve product reliability based on test results. Qualifications & Skills: Associate's degree in electronics, engineering technology, or a related field. Experience in testing and troubleshooting computer systems is required. Server/workstation hardware familiarity (ECC memory, RAID controllers, backplanes, dual-socket systems) Experience in a system integrator or manufacturing environment Experience with rackmount servers and data center-style deployments is preferred Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with testing equipment and software.
