Part-time Park Ranger

Park Enforcement Officer Part-time, not to exceed 28 hours weeklyHourly rate: $17.00***NOTE: This position is posted year-round and filled as needed.General Purpose of PositionPerforms park patrol, investigation, traffic regulation and related park enforcement activities.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesPatrols park properties and responds to calls for assistancePerforms regular patrol of parks to maintain orderSummons ambulance and other emergency response vehiclesPrepares reports of all activitiesChecks field and other facility lights and works with contractor to procure repair servicesAssists with events and other festivals held in the parksWorks as security manpower at special events including weddings and festivalsAssists with rentals of park facilitiesDirects traffic during special events and festivalsUndertakes community-oriented ranger workMaintains departmental equipment and suppliesCoordinates with Police Department during emergency situationsPerforms other duties as directedThis is a safety sensitive positionRequirementsMinimum age requirement of 21 yearsEducation and ExperienceThe person in this position must have a high school education or equivalent.Licenses and CertificationsA valid driver's license is requiredEqual Opportunity Employer M/F/Disabled/Veteran
