Location: Irving, TXSalary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD AnnuallyDescription: Job Title:Network Security Engineer - Web Proxy & Firewall SMELocation:Irving, TX (Onsite / Hybrid - as per project needs)Summary:We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Web Proxy and Firewall technologies in a large-scale enterprise environment. This role will play a critical part in supporting a major network separation/divestiture initiative, ensuring secure, seamless, and compliant transition of services.The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in enterprise firewall platforms and web proxy solutions, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.Required / Mandatory Skills:Strong hands-on experience with enterprise-grade Firewall platforms such as:Palo Alto NetworksCheck PointCisco ASA / Firepower (FTD)Practical experience with Web Proxy solutions, including:ZscalerForcepoint / WebsenseBlue Coat / Symantec ProxySGSolid understanding of network protocols and security concepts:TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPSVPNs, NAT, IDS/IPS, Load BalancingProven ability to:Analyze network traffic and logsTroubleshoot complex connectivity and security issuesOptimize firewall and proxy performanceExperience with firewall rule design, web proxy policy creation, and maintenanceExposure to network segmentation, ACL migrations, and access control strategiesScripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plusExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to work both independently as an SME and collaboratively within large technical teams Qualification:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field3-5 years of experience in Network Security Engineering2-3 years of hands-on experience managing Web Proxy and Firewall solutions in an enterprise setupProven experience acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)Preferred Certifications (nice to have):CCNA SecurityPCNSE (Palo Alto Networks)CCSA / CCSE (Check Point)Zscaler certifications (ZCCA, ZCSE)By providing your phone number, you consent to: (1) receive automated text messages and calls from the Judge Group, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively "Judge") to such phone number regarding job opportunities, your job application, and for other related purposes.
