PositionThe Staff Accountant VIE works closely with several departments across the company to support efficient accounting operations, and strong internal controls. The position is responsible for help maintaining accounting records, and ensuring the reconciliation of accounts related to suppliers, customers, and treasury.The role is structured around three key areas:Accounting Operations: Processing and recording transactions related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury. Account Monitoring: Monitoring customer, supplier, and treasury accounts. Account Reconciliation: Performing reconciliations of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury. Job ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable Record supplier invoices daily, following the process based on the PSP system. Ensure invoices are properly approved and coded in accordance with company policies. Follow the accounts payable balances. Reconcile accounts payable accounts and investigate discrepancies each month. Accounts Receivable Prepare and record customer invoices when it’s required. Ensure invoices are properly booked in accordance with company policies. Follow the accounts Receivable balances. Reconcile accounts receivable balances and investigate discrepancies each month. Treasury Record treasury transactions and cash movements daily. Follow the TreasuryReconcile Treasury accounts and investigate discrepancies each month. Other ResponsibilitiesEnsure accuracy and consistency of accounting data within SAP systems. Respond to accounting-related inquiries from various departments. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to efficiency initiatives. This task list is not exhaustive and may evolve with the candidate's aspirations. It can include participating in the monthly closing (booking accruals, fixing miscoding…), and analyzing some accounts linked to the closing.ProfileEducation:Business School or Accounting degree. Ability to complete VIE assignment in the United States for 12 to 18 months. Languages: Fluent in English, French is a plusProfessional experience & know how :At least one year of experience in accounting is required. Prior finance experience is a plus. Previous LVMH experience requiredTechnical & management skills:Good knowledge of accounting standardsGood knowledge of Excel. Ability to manage complex data and maintain a critical mindset. Knowledge of SAP (CO-FI) is a plus. Personal & Interpersonal skills:Driver's License. Proactive with a high degree of rigor. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
