We turn recycled sawdust into value-add, branded consumer products.Maintenance Manager Position Summary: Position has the responsibility to lead the maintenance program for the Brownsville Plant.Maintenance Manager Primary ObjectivesThe Maintenance Manager ensures safety of Lignetics and contract personnel through use of best safety practices (LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, Safety Concern Forms, incident investigation, etc.)Responsible for implementing a maintenance program based on a solid strategy, hiring retaining great people and providing their team members with the tools to significantly reduce the unplanned stops at the plantResponsible for the development of a team of craftsmen and a plannerManage the implementation and operation of the sites CMMS (MVP). Site is using the equipment module, the work order module, the stores module and the PM moduleSupport the planner in the kitting and planning process for both planned and opportunity maintenanceMaintain the stores systems and ensures parts are on hand as neededDevelops capital appropriation requests by consulting, obtain bids, and work closely with outside contractorsManage and participate in the rebuild or repair of pellet mills, conveyors, screws, gearboxes, chains using hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skillsDrive improvement in all maintenance systems by learning and supporting the Maintenance Excellence programProvide regular reports to Plant Manager regarding safety and maintenance concerns and projectsParticipate in employee performance management, hiring, disciplinary and annual/development reviewStand in for the Plant Manager in their absenceKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesTechnical degree or equivalent industry experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenanceExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management systemsPLC knowledge a plusSituational leadershipOutstanding communication skillsTime Based/Condition Based maintenance routine developmentExperience with Predictive maintenance tools such as Vibration Monitoring, Thermography and Oil samplingAbility to multitaskAnalytical thinking and outstanding RCA skillsSolid Project planning & implementation skillsetExperience developing/implementation/managing TPM programs preferredOffice and ERP system experience is preferred (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sage)Working Conditions: The Maintenance Manager will spend time in the plant working on equipment and/or directing his team to complete projects or repairs. In addition, office time will be used for planning, scheduling, and reporting.Will need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasionWill need to walk, climb ladders, stoop, kneel, or crouch to inspect site conditions as neededMust be able to wear personal protective equipment including eye and ear protection, respiratory protective gear, fall prevention harnesses, and other gear that may be required for access to certain areas of a Lignetics facilityWill be exposed to slippery surfaces, pinch points, trip and fall hazards, and overhead obstaclesMust be able to work under a variety of weather conditionsAcknowledgement: This Maintenance Manager job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by the employee assigned to this position.
