Driver Recruiter

RecruiterThe purpose of the Recruiter is the recruitment of Independent Contractors and company drivers. Critical job functions include being the initial point of contact for potential Independent Contractors and company drivers, maintaining proactive outreach to potential candidates, conducting follow-up calls to maintain strong, positive relationships, and attaining individual recruiting goals. The role performs routine duties with minimal supervision following standard practices or procedures. Job requirements include junior college/two-year college training and up to one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. The role relies on written and verbal communication, with abilities to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Good listening/interpretation skills are required, along with transportation industry experience preferred. Knowledge of contract specifics by division/company, IT system, and proficient typing, filing, and ten key skills are also necessary. The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs is essential. Effective communication with a wide variety of personality types, educational levels, and cultural backgrounds is required, along with the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. The role also requires the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Physical demands include moderate physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and talk and hear others in conversations via the phone or in person. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stand for long periods of time. The work environment is moderate based on general conversation tones, ringing phones, and laser printer operation, with work in well-lit, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office settings with adequate ventilation, occasional outside events in non environmentally controlled conditions. Compensation for this role is $40,000 to $45,000 per year. Location is remote. Benefits include PTO, paid holidays, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and 401k.
