REMOTE Senior Full-Stack Java/React Developer

Senior Application Cloud Full Stack Developer - Java & React Job Overview: Apex Systems is seeking a full-stack Java & React developer (Expert level) to build and support micro-services and React applications used across multiple teams within the Department. The Expert Applications Developer will work under the guidance of a Technical Lead to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications. The ability to communicate with technical team members, business users, and management is required. Specific Duties: The Expert Applications Developer - Java & React, will demonstrate strong competencies across these responsibilities: Lead the design, coding, and deployment of micro-services and React applications.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and peers.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine business requirements into technical solutions.Design, develop, and deploy scalable micro-services and REST APIs.Develop front-end applications using React and ensure they are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.Lead the design and implementation of databases (relational and non-relational) in Azure cloud environments.Conduct and lead unit, integration, and customer acceptance testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables.Document technical solutions, application architecture, and development processes.Lead small-to-medium projects or components of larger projects, providing clear project plans, timelines, and status reports.Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues under tight timeframes, occasionally support after-hours production incidents. Required Skills and Experience:At least 10 years of experience with Java development.AT least 5 years of experience leading Java development.At least 5 years of experience in developing micro-services using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.At least 7 years of experience in REST API development using Open API (Swagger) specifications.At least 10 years in experience in HTML/CSS/JavaScript.At least 5 years of experience building front-end applications with modern SPA frameworks such as React, Angular, or VueAt least 10 years working with relational databases. Ability to write SQL queries and debug database related issues in Java applications. Preferred Skills and Experience:Strong understanding of cloud-native and serverless application models.Experience with application deployments in the Azure cloud preferred.Experience with non-relational DBs is a plus (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Dynamo DB, etc.).Experience with database automation frameworks (Liquibase, Flyway, etc.) is a plus.Preferred to have a minimum of 10+ years' experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle and workflow including, but not limited to:EstimatesTarget date planningWork plan development and monitoringStakeholder communicationQuality AssuranceDevelopment methods/techniquesTesting methods/techniquesImplementation planning and execution.
