Job Title: Emergent Bilingual Facilitator Wage/Hour Status: ExemptReports to: Federal Programs DirectorDept./School: Special ProgramsPrimary PurposeProvide supplemental in-class and pull-out support for ESL students. Collaborate with district staff and outside personnel to provide educational opportunities for ESL students.QualificationsEducation/Certification:Bachelor’s degreeValid Texas teaching certificate with endorsement in ESLSpecial Knowledge/SkillsAbility to interpret dataKnowledge of curriculum and instructionKnowledge of strategies and materials for the education of ESL/EB studentsKnowledge of Texas Teachers Evaluation Support System (T-TESS)Knowledge of LPACStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsBilingual PreferredMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Program ManagementProvide support for ESL students through pull-out and in-class interventions.Support teachers and campus administration in developming, revising, and aligning student coursework, including accommodations in ways that improve student outcomes with campus and district goals.Develop and conduct or arrange for staff development sessions, including sessions on various instruction methods, and enriched learning in classroom settings. Complies and submits a variety of weekly, monthly and year-end reports as required.Work with administration and ESL team in evaluation of the ESL program and implement changes based on the findings. Provide guidance/assistance to campus LPAC committes and assist with the identification of new Emergent Bilingual Students.ConsultationProvide resources and materials to support staff in accomplishing programConsult with parents, administrators, counselors, teachers, community agencies, and other relevant individuals regarding ESLBudget and InventoryAssist with the selection and purchase of supplemental equipment and supplies for the ESL program.Policy, Reports, and LawCompile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy.Working ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent prolonged and irregular hours. Frequent districtwide travel.
