Auto CAD Drafter

Job Description Key Responsibilities:Develop accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for low voltage system designs (structured cabling, fire alarm, security, and access control, audio visual).Review and verify Bill of Materials (BOM) for accuracy and project requirements.Ensure all necessary materials are available and coordinate restocking as needed.Contact vendors to confirm product availability, lead times, and pricing.Work closely with the purchasing department to ensure timely ordering of materials.Maintain and organize project design files and technical documentation.Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineering or field teams.Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to resolve design or material issues.Assist in creating submittal packages and as-built documentation.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or technical certificate in Drafting or a related field preferred.Minimum 1 year of AutoCAD drafting experience in the low voltage or related industry.Working knowledge of structured cabling, fire alarm, and security system design.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work and material planning.Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.Ability to work well with multiple departments including engineering, purchasing, and field operations.Proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of Revit or other CAD tools is a plus).
