Material Handler
*Merit Logistics* is looking for *Material Handlers* for a local warehouse operation in *_Hanahan SC_*. Responsibilities include unloading containers via conveyor belt, sorting packages by SKU onto pallets, wrapping pallets and bringing them to staging area via pallet jack.
This is a *Monday-Friday 9AM-5:30PM full time position.* The starting pay is *$17 an hour. Pay is Weekly.*
*_Must be able to pass a background check, and TSA STA background check_*. Process will take 5-10 days to complete to get your STA number. Candidates cannot start employment until that is completed.
*REQUIREMENTS:*
* Ability to safely lift up to 5-50 lbs consistently.
* Must be comfortable in working in variable temperatures, at times can be hot.
* Background check required. TSA STA background check required
* Day shift
* General warehouse experience preferred.
* Performing custodial functions, as necessary, to ensure cleanliness and safety of warehouse and unloading areas.
* Knowledge of equipment such as Pallet Jacks.
* Document and report damages and discrepancies to the supervisor.
