Company Description ASTUTE COUNSELING + WELLNESS is a private practice based on the north side of Chicago, specializing in comprehensive mental health care. Our team addresses a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, LGBTQIA+ support, eating disorders, couples, grief and stress management. We also provide expert care in couple and family therapy, ensuring a personalized approach to client needs. ASTUTE COUNSELING + WELLNESS is dedicated to fostering well-being and promoting positive life changes for our diverse community of clients. Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid on-site Clinician role located in Lakeview, Chicago, IL. The Clinician will provide individual, couple, and or family therapy sessions to clients with a variety of mental health needs. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, promoting wellness offerings we have in treatment planning, maintaining accurate client records, and collaborating with other team members to ensure comprehensive care. The Clinician will also participate in regular team meetings and remain informed on the latest developments in mental health treatments and best practices.*We are a unique practice as we have a therapy side for mental health services PLUS a full wellness center with yoga, somatics, acupuncture, reiki, sound therapy, massage and workshops. Plus a full retail therapy space. Over 8,000 ft of wellness goodness under one roof! Qualifications Strong clinical skills, with experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planningUnderstanding of the importance of the mind-body connection in mental health and wellnessBelieves in and practices from a mind-body persoectiveProficiency in providing individual, couple, and or family therapyFamiliarity with addressing diverse mental health needs, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitionsWe are specifically looking for folks who use EMDR, somatic, brain spotting, and have experience with disordered eating and body image. Not required, but highly encouraged.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team membersPrivate practice experience is a huge plusLicensure or licensure eligibility in the state of Illinois (e.g., LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD) MUST BE FULLY LICENSED OR VERY CLOSE TO LICENSURE. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health careExperience with electronic health records and client documentation is a plusAdditional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., trauma-informed care, DBT, EMDR) are a plus
