Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Responsibilities - Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and menus - Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and special requests - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area - Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, utensils, pots, and pans - Assist with inventory management and stock rotation - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations Requirements - Previous experience in a culinary role is preferred - Knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Flexibility to work in both cooking and dishwashing roles - Familiarity with menu planning and catering concepts Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Physical Setting: Casual dining restaurant Upscale casual restaurant Shift: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Night shift Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Portland, OR 97204 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Portland, OR 97204: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
