About Us:We are a highly innovative surveying and engineering company with over 60 years of industry experience serving clients throughout the US and Caribbean.At Pickett, we use the acronym S.O.L.V.E. to define our core values that include: S afety first, O utstanding service, L asting relationships, V alued teamwork and E ngaged culture."We solve the problems that matter" and we are always looking to add passionate, motivated, and qualified individuals to our rapidly expanding team.About The Role:As the Director of Survey, you will oversee all aspects of our surveying division, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality in the delivery of surveying services to our clients.This position requires a deep understanding of the surveying industry, as well as strong leadership, business development, and project management skills.What You Will Be Doing:Lead and manage the survey department, ensuring efficient execution of projectsProvide technical direction, guidance, and support to survey managers and office staffDevelop and implement processes to improve the quality and efficiency of survey operationsFoster a positive team environment with a focus on safety, performance, and client satisfactionOversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all surveying projects, ensuring they meet client specifications and industry standardsCoordinate with engineering, geospatial, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of survey data into broader project workflowsEnsure adherence to project timelines and budgets while maintaining quality controlBuild and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with services and identifying opportunities for additional businessCollaborate with the business development team to expand the company's surveying services within various marketsServe as the primary point of contact for key clientsEnsure all surveying activities comply with state, local, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practicesMaintain accurate records and documentation of all survey projectsOversee quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey dataStay up-to-date with the latest surveying technologies, methods, and equipmentImplement innovative tools and techniques to improve the precision and efficiency of survey operations, including geospatial technologiesConduct regular meetings with management to ensure the team is staying on top of project timelines and deliverables, review and reinforce safety protocols, and address any challenges, resource needs, or opportunities for improvementWhat You Bring: Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or equivalent work experience in survey or civil engineering environment (required)10+ years of experience in land surveying, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role (required)Professional Surveyor and Mapper license (PSM or PLS) (required)Experience working with utility clients (preferred)Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to surveying and mappingProficiency with modern surveying equipment and software, including GPS, Total Station, LiDAR, and GIS systemsAbility to work in a safe manner and obey safety regulations at all timesExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsProven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet fixed deadlines on a timely basisAbility to travel as neededSo...Why Join Us?You will have the opportunity to learn, grow and directly contribute to our business.
