1) Job ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive women’s healthcare across the lifecycle: preconception, prenatal, labor & delivery, and postpartum careConduct prenatal exams, physical assessments, and fetal monitoring (e.g., ultrasound, lab tests)Independently manage or assist in labor and vaginal deliveriesOffer family planning, contraception, and reproductive health counselingIdentify and manage obstetric complications, referring to OB-GYN when necessaryDeliver postpartum care and breastfeeding supportMaintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)Collaborate with OB-GYNs, pediatricians, and nursing teams👉 Key Feature:A hybrid of medical-level clinical care and patient-centered nursing, with an emphasis on low-intervention childbirth2) QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Nursing + Master’s or Doctorate in Midwifery/Nursing (MSN/DNP)Licensure & Certification:Active RN license + CNM certification (e.g., via American Midwifery Certification Board)Clinical Skills:Ability to independently provide women’s health servicesExperience:Typically 1+ year in women’s health or OB-GYNCertifications:BLS, ACLS, NRPCore Competencies:EMR proficiencyPatient education and communicationInterdisciplinary collaboration
