Psychiatric Nurse PractitionerLocation: Great Falls, MontanaDepartment: Behavioral HealthStatus: Full-Time | ExemptCreating and Inspiring Healthier LivesSummaryAlluvion Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our integrated Behavioral Health team. The ideal candidate provides comprehensive mental health care, including psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, medication management, and collaboration within a team-based care model. This position plays a vital role in improving the mental well-being of our patients through compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based care.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality, compassionate, and ethical mental health therapy to patients.Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management.Collaborate with patients, families, and integrated care team members to ensure coordinated care.Complete timely documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.Adhere to Alluvion Health policies, procedures, and continuous quality improvement objectives.Stay current with research and evidence-based best practices.Maintain an active DEA registration.Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary care team.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and other evaluation activities.Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of:Psychiatric disorders across the lifespan (children, adolescents, and adults)Medication use, effects, and managementSocioeconomic factors affecting mental healthIndividual and family therapy methodsSkills in:Crisis intervention and varied therapeutic techniquesIndependent work and time managementEffective communication and emotional sensitivityAbility to:Interpret and follow technical and professional instructionsRecognize and refer conditions beyond scope to appropriate providersManage life-threatening or emergency situations appropriatelyMaintain professionalism, confidentiality, and HIPAA complianceWork effectively with populations from a wide range of backgroundsAdapt to change, manage competing demands, and meet deadlinesCollaborate within a team while maintaining independence in clinical decision-makingEducation, Experience & CertificationEducation:Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric certification requiredExperience:One (1) year of experience in a clinical setting preferredLicenses/Certifications:Active Montana APRN license with prescriptive authorityCurrent DEA registrationValid Montana driver's licenseComputer Skills:Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) and ability to learn Alluvion Health software applicationsLanguage SkillsFluent in English with the ability to read, interpret, and communicate complex information effectively.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Physical RequirementsRegularly required to sit, use hands/fingers, and operate a computer.Occasionally required to lift/move up to 40 lbs.Must possess visual and auditory acuity for patient care and computer-based work.Mobility to move throughout clinic sites and travel between locations as needed.Working ConditionsPrimarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment.OSHA Exposure Category #1: Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.Standard schedule of 40-45 hours per week; flexibility required for patient and clinic needs.About Alluvion HealthAt Alluvion Health, we believe in Creating and Inspiring Healthier Lives.
