Travel Social Worker in Providence, RI

Provide expert social work support within school settings in Providence, RI, serving students through one-on-one and group interventions aimed at promoting social-emotional wellbeing and academic success. This full-time role offers the opportunity to engage with diverse student populations, deliver impactful social skills groups, and contribute meaningfully to the school community.Key Responsibilities:Deliver individual and group social work services that address student needs, promote resilience, and support educational goalsFacilitate social skills groups to enhance student interaction, communication, and problem-solving capabilitiesCollaborate with educators, families, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care and support plansMaintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and school regulationsAdapt service delivery to meet the evolving needs of students throughout the academic yearPotentially extend support during summer sessions on a part-time basis Qualifications and Experience:Hold a valid state license as an LMSW, LCSW, or LSW with school certification through the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE)Proven experience in school social work delivering both individual and group interventionsStrong interpersonal and communication skills tailored to working with children and adolescentsAbility to work full-time Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., with Wednesdays extended until 3:00 p.m.Willingness to transition between campuses, initially serving at one location with the possibility to move to another the following academic year Location and Travel: This role is based in Providence, Rhode Island, and involves travel between campuses to best serve student populations.
