This role is integral to financial performance, with accountability for driving consistent collections practices, operational efficiency, and accurate receivables management.The Collections Senior Manager partners closely with firm leadership, Finance, attorneys, and IT to streamline workflows, improve processes, and support sustainable, profitable growth. This position requires a proactive, metrics-focused leader with demonstrated experience in disciplined collections, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead and manage Accounts Receivable operations for a team of Collections Coordinators and Senior Collections CoordinatorsDevelop, document, and deliver training to ensure consistent and effective collections practicesEstablish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators related to productivity and profitabilityAnalyze team performance and provide clear, constructive feedback while effectively managing workloadsCollaborate with attorneys to design and execute collection strategies and accelerate payment resolutionReview exception reports to identify data discrepancies, process gaps, and improvement opportunitiesPromote and enforce best practices in AR management and complianceRequirementsBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (Master’s a plus).10+ years of progressive experience in law firm revenue cycle management. At least three years of supervisory or team leadership experienceStrong leadership experience managing cross-functional revenue cycle teamsDeep understanding of law firm financial operations, client expectations, and risk factorsStrong working knowledge of legal collections systems, including Aderant Expert CollectionsExcellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skillsSuccess ProfileDrives alignment and accountability across the revenue cycleBuilds confidence and trust among team members and firm leadershipEstablishes consistent, scalable processes and metricsImproves the client and attorney experience through more predictable, accurate, and collectionsFor New York City metro area, the expected salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $171,000.
