Residential HVAC Technician / Installer

Job Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Technician/Installer who takes pride in their work, values integrity, and wants to grow with a company that truly supports its team and customers. Our ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of HVAC systems and is able to work independently. You should be able to problem solve quickly, communicate effectively and have excellent customer service skills. Ultimately a top-notch Residential HVAC Technician who can diagnose and repair HVAC issues and install/replace HVAC systems, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our clients. What you'll do (not exhaustive): Installing, maintaining and repairing primarily residential HVAC systems/equipment Identifying maintenance risks on equipment; offering maintenance programs to clients Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems Install thermostats, controls and air quality solutions Test system functionality and ensure proper airflow and temperature control Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems and performing warranty services. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoice at job site What we're looking for: 2-5+ years of experience maintaining, repairing and installing residential HVAC systems High School graduate preferably from a trade/technical school; additional training and/or associate's degree in HVAC a plus Strong knowledge of the hazards associated with the occupation and the safety precautions to maintain at all times (such as handling chemicals such as degreasers, cleaners, freon, acids) EPA certification (preferred) Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, work at heights of up to 40' and climb/maneuver in tight spaces Valid NJ Driver's License with clean driving record What we offer Competitive pay ($30-$45/hour) based on experience and performance Company truck, gas card, tablet and shirts Take-home company truck program may be available Paid holidays and paid time off Health/Dental and 401K benefits Year-round residential service and installation work Opportunities for training and career growth A supportive, family-friendly team culture and recognition for exceptional work and client service Company Description At The Air Authority, we are a family-owned and operated residential HVAC company proudly serving Middlesex, Monmouth & Ocean counties in New Jersey with over 30 years of trusted experience.
