Those fully remote associates residing in states where service is required by contract, law, or regulation will be allowed to submit for reimbursement.Role OverviewThe Director IS, Data Management will lead the data strategy and is responsible for translating business priorities into executable data initiatives that support regulatory reporting, risk adjustment, quality programs, operational efficiency, and member/provider experience outcomes. In addition to managing the execution of enterprise data programs leveraging platforms such as Databricks, this leader will play a key role in building and scaling Agile delivery capabilities within the Data Organization. The Director will be accountable to establish Agile ways of working, creating cross-functional Scrum teams aligned to data domains, and mentoring Product Owners to drive business-value-led data delivery.Work ArrangementThis is a 100% Remote position but you must live on EST or CST time zonesResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning: Develop and execute IT strategies that align with the organization's overall business goals, focusing on efficiency, security, and innovation within the healthcare sector. Work within the organization and with business and clinical partners to establish investment business casesDefine and execute the enterprise data management strategy aligned with business, clinical, and regulatory goalsPartner with stakeholders, data architects, and business leaders to advance data interoperability and compliance maturityDrive alignment between payer operations, clinical data exchange, and population health analyticsTeam Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture engagement, collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growthLead cross functional delivery teams including: Data Engineers, Product Owners, Technical Project Managers & Agile Scrum MastersProject Management: Direct and manage complex IT projects from conception to completion, including cost and scheduled estimates, system implementations, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with business case and quality expectations. Identify risks and drive successful mitigation approachesBuilding Agile Scrum & Product Owner Teams: Establish and scale cross-functional Agile Scrum teams aligned to enterprise data domains (e.g., Claims Data, Provider Data, Member Data)o Partner with Business Leadership to identify and onboard domain-aligned Product Ownerso Foster collaboration between Product Owners and Data Delivery teamso Run Agile Scrum delivery of enterprise data programs using Azure DevOpso Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.o Monitor delivery metrics including: Sprint Velocity, Delivery Timelines, Program MilestonesSecurity & Compliance: Establish and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols and data privacy measures, ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH, state-specific mandates)Vendor Management:Manage relationships with third-party IT vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts, ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and optimizing vendor performanceBudget Management:Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and appropriate allocation of resourcesBusiness Partner and Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, executive leadership, and external partners to understand their IT needs and deliver effective solutionsDisaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all critical IT systemsBusiness Partner and Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, executive leadership, and external partners to understand their IT needs and deliver effective solutions.Education and ExperienceAt least ten (10) or more years of experience with Azure Data Platform (ADF, Databricks), Snowflake, or equivalent cloud technologiesAt least five (5)+ years of leadership experience within healthcare payer organizationsExperience with healthcare claims, eligibility, provider, and clinical datasetsExperience establishing Agile delivery practices and working with Product OwnersAt least ten (10)+ years of experience managing enterprise data programsBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceOur Comprehensive Benefits PackageFlexible work solutions including remote options, hybrid work schedules, Competitive pay, Paid time off including holidays and volunteer events, Health insurance coverage for you and your dependents on Day 1, 401(k) Tuition reimbursement and more.Your career starts now.
