Director, Survey PracticeHalff has an immediate opening for a Director of Survey for our South Texas offices. This is a leadership position and will collaborate with Survey Team Leaders out of our Texas (TX) offices.Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.We are seeking a seasoned Director to lead and grow our Survey Practice, providing direction and support to multiple teams across one or more offices. This role is a key leadership position, bridging operations, technical excellence, and business growth while ensuring high-quality survey delivery and strong client relationships.What You'll DoLead and support multiple surveying teams through Team Leaders and Senior Team LeadersBalance operational leadership with strategic growth, sales, and client developmentOversee financial performance, staffing, scheduling, quality control, and workshare across survey teamsProvide technical leadership in surveying, ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards and best practicesDrive regional and local growth initiatives within land surveying, geomatics, and related servicesServe as a trusted advisor to clients on complex and high-profile surveying projectsMentor and develop senior survey staff, supporting performance, career growth, and retentionCollaborate closely with operations managers, practice leaders, and HR on staffing, hiring, and resource planningWhat You Will NeedBachelor's Degree or Associate's DegreeAt least 10 years of progressive experience in land surveying or a related fieldRegistered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in Texas and ability to obtain other states.Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams on large, complex projectsStrong understanding of survey operations, project financials, and resource managementDemonstrated success in business development, client management, and regional pursuitsAbility to align technical excellence with strategic and operational objectivesThe Halff Survey/Geospatial Solutions AdvantageHighly qualified staff with land surveying and remote-sensing experience.Full array of surveying and mapping services using the most current national, state, local and ALTA/ACSM standards.Investment in advanced equipment, software and technologies.Culture of innovation, reliability, and consistency.17 survey teams with 38 field crews.Company Overview: Halff is a full-service infrastructure consulting firm planned, designed, engineered, constructed -- and purposed -- for people.
