Performance Engineering Intern

Responsibilities
Evaluate platform performance and identify bottlenecks for improvements
Read platform software code and understand the internal working of product
Define and develop tooling for load simulation, test automation, performance measurement and reporting
Analyze customer PCAPs to understand protocols and data flows and their impact on product performance
Create performance test cases, execute performance tests and report results
Debug and troubleshoot complex issues
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Rust, Kotlin or similar
Experience with software engineering tools such as IDEs, Git, Jenkins, JIRA
Theoretical knowledge of Operating System, Networking and Distributed System concepts
Experience working with agile/scrum methodologies
Self-motivated individual with research and learning capabilities
Exceptional problem solving, reasoning and communication skills
Strong technical writing skills to articulate test cases, customer environments, network traffic profiles and use cases
Must be U.S.-based and eligible to work without restrictions.
Compensation and Work Hours
Internship will run from September 6, 2022 through December 16, 2022
Expectations of no more than 20 hours a week
$20/hr
Laptop and necessary software will be provided
