Position SummaryThe Application Engineering Intern is responsible for providing technical support to internal and external customers. As member of the Application Engineering the Application Engineering Intern will serve as the primary technical contact for the CSR department. They will also serve as the owner of the Application Engineering email inbox. This position requires organizational skills, the ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) and the ability to critically think to find solutions for MTE product related questions or issues.Essential Functions / ResponsibilitiesBusiness Support: Participate in the development of processes and procedures that support the Application Engineering DepartmentCollaborate with Sales and Marketing team to develop technical support FAQs for specific applicationsCollaborate with Customer Service team to create appropriate tools to answer entry level product support requestsPerformance, Metrics & ReportingWith some assistance from Application Engineers, serve as the primary technical point of contact for Customer Service teamServe as the owner of Application Engineering inbox for pre-sales questionsDevelop and maintain cross reference tools to support customer service needsAssist in the development of learning contentProvide additional support as requiredPeople ManagementEffective communication skills to collaborate and support the team environment at all levels of the corporation to resolve issues in a positive manner.Knowledge, Skills & ExperiencesThe ideal candidate for the Application Engineering Intern position will have the following educational background and experience:Junior/Senior level enrolled in a technical field (EE preferred)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsDetail orientedExcellent Microsoft excel skillsCritical thinker and problem solverAbility to work independentlySelf-starterEqual Employment Opportunity EmployerWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation and gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
