Electrical Project Manager

Job Description: The Special Projects team manager oversees all aspects of the electrical special projects portfolio from inception to completion, playing a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality and safety standards. Responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the special projects portfolio while adhering to scope, schedule, and budgets. Ensure all project team members have access to necessary software and tools and possess adequate proficiency for project requirements. Develop project estimates, budgets, and plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and provide support for customer inquiries, site assessments, and technical tasks. Effectively allocate resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure timely project completion. Manage project budgets, forecast costs, and control expenses to optimize efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project plans, resource strategies, and risk management plans. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure success. Ensure work quality meets project specifications and industry standards through effective quality control measures. Ensure projects comply with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle. Manage accounts receivable by generating invoices, following up on payments, and maintaining client relationships. Manage accounts payable by maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring accuracy of purchase orders. Client Management: Develop and manage client relationships for ongoing and potential projects. Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding project progress and issues. Performance Management & Key Metrics: Establish KPIs for the special projects portfolio and utilize metrics for continuous improvement. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement. Required Prior Experience: Construction estimating: 3 years (Required) Project management: 3 years (Required) Microsoft Outlook: 3 years (Required) Bluebeam: 1 year (Preferred) Required Education: High School Diploma Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
