Our employees use their creativity and talent to invent new solutions, meet demands, and offer the most effective services available in our industry.Wynhoven Community Care Center is seeking a Staff Development Nurse LPN/RN!CommCare Corporation invites you to become a part of an innovative team and one of the fastest-growing Retirement Living, Home Health and Hospice Companies that spans across Louisiana and Mississippi with over 2,000 healthcare professionals!CommCare Corporation' s mission is to be an innovative leader in the development and delivery of quality health care services, and to be committed to a learning environment that attracts and develops dedicated care givers.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIESStaff Development FUNCTIONPlan an organized system of training to assist in maintaining overall staff competency to maintain individualized safe, quality of care.Plans and implements in-service programs for the development and improvement of the skills of facility personnel using a variety of teaching methods, presentations, materials and resources to meet the learner's need.Continually assess and evaluates staff learning throughout the orientation process for modification in various teaching methods.Attends scheduled corporate staff development and infection control meetings.Plans and implements nurse aide training program in accordance with state and federal requirements.RequirementsQualificationsThe candidate must hold a current registered nurse license or a licensed practical nurse to practice in the state of Louisiana.The candidate must be knowledgeable of infection control practices. Previous specialized education/training in infection control is required. Certification as an infection control preventionist is a preferred.A minimum of two years long term care or post-acute care experience and at least one year of experience in the acute care setting is preferred. Keeps personal appearance appropriate for resident care.Ability and willingness to function appropriately in a disaster or evacuation of the facility.
